Niraj Bhargava (P.Eng, ICD.D) is the co-founder, CEO, and lead faculty at NuEnergy.ai, a pioneering company specializing in AI Governance Solutions. With over 30 years of experience in technology, business creation, and leadership, Niraj has a distinguished career as a serial entrepreneur in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Networks. His expertise includes developing AI trust measurement software, the Machine Trust PlatformTM, which uses a patented methodology to integrate AI guardrails and trust metrics. Niraj has served as the Chair of the Innovation Committee of the Board at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre and has been a dean and university professor. He holds an MBA, a degree in Systems Design Engineering, and the P.Eng and ICD.D designations. Known globally for his work on ethical AI and sustainability, Niraj has been a prominent speaker at international forums, including law enforcement and mental health sectors.

How can a board put a dashboard and metrics in place to navigate the waves of the AI Tsunami? In 2018, a Canadian start-up started developing AI Guardrails while the AI Tsunami was just a ripple. Like a good hockey player, NuEnergy.ai was not focused on where the puck was but where it was going to be. As the tsunami hit, the company obtained patents for its Machine Trust Index, graduated after significant testing from the Government of Canada's Innovation Solutions Canada program, and has since been on the global stage in the US, Asia, and Europe sharing best practices in practical and measurable AI Governance.
